Hime is a Black Femme born and raised New Jersey resident. Their pronouns are she/they/fae and they identify as Pansexual. Hime’s birth name is Sarah but they prefer the nickname given by their built community. Hime leads life with an A.I.M. of living authentically, intentionally, and magically by helping to amplify the voices of marginalized communities members through focusing on care, community, accountability and joy.
Previous to this job, Hime spent about a decade in various education roles building relationships, creating a culture of kindness and accountability as well as providing safety to their students. In this new role, Hime hopes to blend their lived experiences and background in education with the new skills, opportunities and community that working with Garden State Equality will offer.
