Aisling MacDonald is a proud transgender woman and lifelong New Jerseyan. Aisling comes to Garden State Equality from a successful career in Food Service and Retail Management, and is excited to share her experience with key performance indicator analysis, transparent leadership, and holistic inclusion to her new role as a Babs Siperstein Fellow.
In her personal life she fills her days by being of service to others. Her experiences in childhood and adolescence have instilled in her a passion for practicing mutual aid and charity, especially in the realms of recovery, mental health access, and with unhoused populations. Prior to joining Garden State Equality, she did the work of effecting positive change on transgender visibility, resiliency, and wellness in these intersectional spaces for fun and for free. She is beyond thrilled at having been invited to join an organization where her love of leveraging lived experience to help others can have a broader impact on New Jersey’s LGBTQ+ community as a whole.
