Erin brings 20 years of experience in her new role as Development Director at Garden State Equality. Previously, she has held development positions at organizations such as The Brotherhood/Sister Sol, The CityKids Foundation, Partnership with Children, Highbridge Voices, and most recently, New York Live Arts. Erin received her Masters of Business Administration from Metropolitan College of New York and a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on human development and family studies from the University of Houston. She also has a certification in Nonprofit Management from the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.
Erin has a passion for helping underrepresented and underserved communities find their voices. Her passion for advocacy began during her college years working with the voter registration drives with the Black Student Union. In addition, she worked with the Office of Minority Affairs at her alma mater helping to create spaces and programs that assist students of color feel welcome and included on campus. Erin is the co-founder of Kappa Alpha Lambda Sorority Incorporated, a non-collegiate Greek sorority whose mission is to develop and maintain positive visibility for feminine lesbian women in communities.
