Last month, the Garden State Equality Education Fund welcomed two new members to its Board of Directors, Jennifer Godoski and Marc Younker. These incredible leaders bring to the table expertise in public policy, advocacy, corporate responsibility, as well as their unique perspectives informed by their lived experiences.
Jennifer Godoski (she/her)
Jennifer Godoski currently serves as Director of Policy and Government Affairs for New Jersey Resources. A respected leader in state government and public policy, Jennifer previously served as Chief of Staff to the New Jersey Department of Transportation and worked for several governors, members of Congress, and state legislators.
A graduate of The College of New Jersey, Jennifer’s service to the public and her community is extensive. She is a board member of Preferred Behavioral Health Services and The Jersey Shore Partnership, and serves as the Governance Chair of Crossroads of the American Revolution. Jennifer is a trustee of NJSEED, a Co-Chair of the Monmouth County Chapter of the Alliance for Action and serves as the Government Relations Committee Chair of the Monmouth Ocean Development Council. Jennifer has a daughter, Katie, and wife, Lenore.
Marc Younker (he/him)
Marc Younker is a proud native of New Jersey, hailing from West Orange Township. Since his formative years at West Orange High School, he has long been committed to social justice activism and community organizing. Marc graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Critical Intelligence Studies, where he distinguished himself as a leader in advocacy and diversity and inclusion initiatives for the Association of Big Ten Students.
During the pandemic, Marc led impactful Black Lives Matter protests in both West Orange and New Brunswick, embodying his dedication to upholding his community’s enduring fight for justice and equality.
Currently serving as an Investment Banking Compliance Senior Analyst at Goldman Sachs & Co., Marc applies his passion for fairness and accountability in the corporate sphere. Outside his professional commitments, Marc spends his spare time reading memoirs, enjoying stand-up comedy, and trying new restaurants with his friends.
